Status Correction: Escrow Is Not Yet Available
Why RankValut does not claim transaction custody or protection before a provider and operating model exist.
The current boundary
An earlier placeholder described escrow as a live RankValut feature. That was inaccurate and was removed. The application currently collects no payment and holds no customer funds.
What must exist first
- An approved payment or marketplace provider and account model.
- Webhook-verified, idempotent money and order state transitions.
- Immutable financial records, reconciliation, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Approved KYC, sanctions, tax, consumer, and marketplace policy.
- Staffed disputes, evidence controls, observability, and runbooks.
Publication rule
RankValut will not use the term escrow in product claims unless counsel and the selected provider confirm the exact service and wording.
