Marketplace Search Adds Price Filters and Stable Sorting
A closer look at the new search controls, approved-seller context, and PostgreSQL indexing behind faster discovery.
Find and refine
Search now matches active listing titles, descriptions, and game names. Buyers can combine text with a canonical category, a USD price range, and newest, lowest-price, or highest-price sorting.
- Price values are validated in both the interface and API.
- Every sort order uses a stable ID tie-breaker for predictable pagination.
- Results link directly to the game, offer, and approved seller storefront.
Built for the current scale
PostgreSQL B-tree indexes support active inventory, category, price, and pagination paths. Trigram indexes accelerate case-insensitive text matching without adding a separate search service before one is justified by measured scale.
Honest relevance
RankValut does not yet rank offers by sales, ratings, delivery speed, or response time because those verified production signals do not exist. Search quality will add those signals only after the corresponding marketplace workflows are operational.
